Amethyst Pendant
This piece was made during a stretch of deep cold last year when I was wishing for spring. I built petal by petal as a way of reaching for something softer while everything outside stayed frozen.
Woven in pink, green, and silver using 18 gauge anodized aluminum rings, this pendant has weight and presence. It’s structured and solid in the hand, not delicate or fragile. It sits comfortably while still being noticeable. At the center of each petal is an amethyst bead, adding a quiet depth of color and light. The amethyst is associated with clarity, calm, and spiritual protection, like small anchors of stillness within the piece.
This is a piece about persistence. About making beauty in the middle of waiting. About how something can feel both grounded and hopeful at the same time
Materials: mixed metals with a focus on warm highlights.
