Janklets

This was the very first weave chain I learned and I picked it because I had a very specific image in my head that I wanted to bring to life.  It was of me in the firelight, moving in rhythm with the drums and letting myself be loud in a world that would have me shrink to fit. I needed jewelry that matched this vision.  Each janklet carries that intention.

Built from 18 gauge anodized aluminum, the structure has a subtle curve that lets it rest naturally against the ankle while still holding its shape.  There are approximately 40 bells on each piece.

They speak when you walk.

They answer when you dance.

They turn every step into rhythm and every shift of weight into sound.

Wear them around a fire, or in your kitchen at midnight, or anywhere you need to remember that your body is allowed to take up space and make noise.  That’s my wish for you.

Wear notes: smooth edges, comfortable drape, and a clasp you can manage one-handed.
